18 May 2008Cubs Coaches Under 6's The under 6's took on South Suggers this week with an early start at 9am in Gordon! A great game was hd by all players. See you at training on Saturday. Coach Under 7's Today we played Queanbeyan United on a cold but sunny day. Malcom was our captain today and he led the team out with pride. The team put in the biggest effort they could give and this resulted in a record 66 tackles for the team. There were also passes to conversions and three tries. We ere missing James and Melissa, can't wait to have you back next week. What a great game had by all parents, supporters and players alike. The only reason that I can see why we as a team are improving so much, is because the giant effort put in al all the training sessions from all the children. The team played as a team, tackled as a team, run as a team and last but not least sing loud and proud the club song. Keep it up Tigers we are all so proud of you as you improve. Coach Under 8's Today we took on the Gungahlin Bulls. It soon became clear that these Bulls had been playing for years, and this week we met the strongest U8's Bulls team and I didn't think we did to bad. We managed some quick fast tries, managed to hold the ball, gain field and run with the attacher and tackle him down. We worked more as a tem this week. Well done team! Coach Under 9's Easties took on the Valley Dragons at Gowrie. We looked great playing in our T-shirts. It added to our spirit and ability to play as a team. Coach
